Mike has 40 years experience managing mining and petroleum tenure throughout Australasia for major resources projects.
A leading specialist in land tenure and land access advice in all of the Australian States and Territories for a wide range of companies including the largest mining companies in the world.
He has participated in numerous merger and acquisitions teams for the purchase and sale of over 50 major resource projects and several company takeovers of ASX listed companies.
With 8 years experience lecturing at Murdoch University Law School to under graduate and graduate law students in Mining Law, Petroleum Law, Native Title Law and Water Law. His University qualifications include a Diploma of Management, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and admission to the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
Mike has successfully managed access to land and waters for exploration, mining, petroleum and infrastructure projects. These projects include from greenfield exploration to large scale developments for mines, railways, ports, power and water infrastructure and mergers and acquisitions.
Mikes’ skills include the capacity to deliver and implement training, risk controls and detailed analysis of complex transactions in time pressured environments and deliver solutions.
Providing expert advice which will deliver business value is one of Mikes’ core value including a passion for training and teaching to legal practitioners, tenure teams and other professions such as geologists and project teams.
